Actually I think it was Placer Dome that screwed Hugo by not starting the mine and I don't even count Vanessa as being there. Buying LC for $50 from Placer Dome and some shares I would consider screwing with Hugo.

I'll give you Gold Reserve, Crystallex and Rusoro as being screw by Hugo. Will he screw the Chinese? I don't think so.

Why will things be different this time? Everything has changed for Hugo now. His popularity is under 50%, there is labour strife across VZ and the VZ economy is in shambles. The Chinese have what none of the rest of us had. MONEY!!!

The only way the Chinese get screwed is if they go into these deals believing Hugo will be honourable. I think the Chinese are too smart to do that especially when their dealing with a moron like Hugo.

Hugo needs money badly right now and to get it he will have to make a fair deal with the Chinese. Assuming our strategic partner is Chinese we also should be safe.
