Venezuela boosts housing projects in collaboration with China

May 23 2010, 19:36 Caracas, May 23 (Prensa Latina) Some 20 000 houses will be built in Venezuela as part of cooperation agreements with the PRC, today announced the South American nation's president, Hugo Chávez.
During the television program Alo Presidente showed images of several complexes of buildings erected in conjunction with experts from the Asian country in the state of Barinas.
The residence, located in Palma Sola, will be a productive eco-city where they will be ready by the end of the year about 824 thousand apartments.
The statesman urged to comply with established work schedules and plans to integrate housing with rail and agricultural development in the area.
The partnership with China include sectors such as energy and mining.
Chavez announced that Venezuela offered to help China in the exploitation of coltan, a highly strategic mineral used in electronics and space.
A commission of that nation runs the country to assess projects in various areas, including the exploitation of iron ore, bauxite and gold in Guyana, where there are valuable deposits.
Last Friday, the officer opened the Electronics Industry Orinoquia second cell factory with Chinese technology, opens its doors in the country, the first was Venezolana de Telecomunicaciones (Vtelca).
