WOW...this seems to me to be very big news for us...our partner in crime, the CVG, are now controled by the Vice President of the Republic of Venezuela !! That is as close to being controled by Chavez himself, as you can get.
This is kinda like nationalizing a nationalized company!...Me thinks that we are now partnered with the Presidential Office, or at least the palace Milaflores. Very interesting move...obviously Chavez was concerned that there were things going on with these companies that he couldn't control. Maybe the CVG dropped the ball in not being prepared for all these unemployed and homeless citizens....now there's a mess.
This could be good, as we will be in Chavez's radar ( hopefully not for a guided missile attack). Does he want things to move faster, and other factions of his government were 'obfusticating' the process...? Could it be that it was too complicated to get anything done? Too complicated to make the legal changes to get LC happening? Or any of the VZ corporations happening in the direction Chavez wants, for that matter.
I can not see anything like this happening in any other supposed democracy.....I thought the Vice President's job was to take over as President if, heavens permit, something dreadful should happen to the President. Overseeing a bunch of National Companies is a strange move to me....Lets hope that things were not going ahead as Chavez wanted, and now will? In a good way for us.
This isn't just a beuraucratic change, that's for sure.
More interesting times ahead....ahead to somewhere.
