You know, in that case it might be prudent for our US neighbours to consider buying some tax free gold bullion in Canada and putting it in a Canadian bank safety deposit box awaiting the big implosion of paper money.

It may be tax free if you're Canadian....but something tells me that Uncle Sam will get his pound of flesh anyway. Do you know if U.S. citizens can avoid taxes on bullion purchases this way or is it just Canadians?
