The google earth view is just astounding...The devestation....it goes on and on upstream. Clusters of building. could have once been a farm? , piles of earth, and just brown brown water, can't even tell where the river is anymore in some places......what river is it anyway? Is the town nearby the mine site Sifontes?, or some smaller town. It's on Highway 10, and is surrounded by forest. When I click on 'what's here', I get Angostura Bridge, and Canaima National Park.

I see now, that it's Las Claritas. When I went to the 'camp', and hit 'explore', it showed a picture, and said it was 'Campemento Minero Las Cristinas' I also see 6 guys hydraulic mining, between Crystallex's camp, and the town of Las Claritas. All the mining pics I see are closer to Las Claritas, and the map says it's 2010, no month.....maybe someone else has more abilities with goole earth.
