Yeah, I emailed him when I saw the news and he replied, no indication of current contact, but I didn't ask that directly, rather I asked if KRY saw Khan as a problem:

The Company is familiar with Mr. Khan and worked with him when he was
Minister of MIBAM and President of the CVG. Don't believe this is negative.
