The new minister of People's Power for Basic Industries and Mining (Mibam), Jose Fernandez Salamat Khan, announced that his office will draft a proposal to transform all the basic business structures.
Among the actions, if approved by the President of the Republic, Hugo Chávez Frías, are: the creation of several deputy ministers of trade and production, among others, in different basic industries.

"The Ministry (Mibam) should look to the industry. We have to have a vice-ministry marketing of products, should be under the charge of a worker who is competent and knows the area. The Vice Ministry is responsible for ensuring that the market have greater transparency, "Khan said Fernandez.
