Belarus, Venezuela to cooperate in mining industry

MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Venezuela intend to cooperate in the mining industry, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Belarus Americo Diaz Nunez told reporters on 22 February.

“Venezuela will supply construction materials and other products in exchange for mining equipment avoiding, in such a way, money payments,” Americo Diaz Nunez noted. According to him, the Belarusian side is also interested in purchasing the materials produced by the companies of the heavy and mining industry including hot-rolled pipes, cast steel, cold-rolled sheet, wirework.

According to the Ambassador, main Belarus exports to Venezuela are potash fertilizers, dried milk and dairy products, pipe fitting, pumps and compressors, construction equipment, agricultural machines and spare parts for it, tractors, trucks and heavy haulers.
Americo Diaz Nunez reminded that recently a contract for the delivery of 10 thousand tonnes of Belarusian dried milk has been signed.
