Workers Control continues to monitor China Fund projects

* For this 2010 should run 39 projects for works to improve the operability and availability of productive areas of the company
With the presence of the chief executive of Sidor, Miguel Álvarez Cádiz, the Presidential Commission on Workers' Control and spokesmen of the different productive areas of the company, met last Friday to discuss the progress of the 39 projects scheduled to run during the 2010 , with funding from China-Venezuela Fund, awarded by the Venezuelan president, Hugo Chávez.
As part of the active participation, the workers who are part of the Presidential Commission and Workers' Control team continued to assess the projects to be executed this year, since we have a deadline to comply with all the steps required by Public Procurement Act on May 15. Once this process is expected to start with implementing them.
During the meeting the Chief Executive Miguel Alvarez clarified that all budgeted by the Chinese-Venezuelan fund for 2010 is to be executed this year to meet the needs of plants and fulfill the mandate of the President of the Republic, Hugo Chávez Frías and Minister Rodolfo Sanz.
Importantly, the 39 projects to be implemented this year, were designed with the workers who participated in the situational analysis of each production line, determining investment needs for the benefit of safe work environment and operational reliability of each plant.
For Jesus Ramirez industrial production director of Sidor, "the integration of all levels of the organization as a body only machinability acting together, is critical to the effectiveness of the initiation and completion of these projects."
Workers guarantors of good use of resources
In Sidor Workers Control team consists of 58 workers, representing all the productive areas, which must guarantee that resources allocated for the implementation of these projects are effectively implemented, as well as the steps and vehicular time required by the Public Procurement Act for realizing them. To this end, meetings were held periodically in order to review and assess the status of documentation for each of the 39 projects scheduled for this 2010, which continue to be developed with representation from the labor and the directors of the company.
