It is interesting to say the least Spartacus. Here is an interesting break down of volume over the last year and into Jan. It seems something or someone has sparked some interest lately.

Volume totals in 4 month time spans from Jan 09:

Jan-April 70.56M shares traded price ranged from .1324 to .3699 avg 4 mo. vol 17.6M

May-Aug 51.49M shares traded price ranged from .18 to .41 avg 4 mo. vol 12.8M

Sept-Dec 142.2M shares traded price ranged from .19 to .52 avg 4 mo. vol 35.5M

Here is what I find interesting in that Jan only traded 10.84M shares price range from .398 to .25. Huge volumes from Sept to Dec and a fairly big decline in Jan but where are the 142M in Jan? It even traded below average. Someone was very interested in those 4 months yet they are not selling...at least not yet.
