Chávez designates to Elías Jaua like vice-president of the Republic

12:06 A.M. Caracas. - President Hugo Chavez announced the night of this Tuesday the designation of Elías Jaua like vice-president of the Republic replacing the Ramon Carrizález, who presented/displayed his resignation for “strictly personal” reasons.

“Here she is the new vice-president, Elias Jaua. We wished much success him”, informed the national agent chief executive through a contact with the program the Hojilla, transmitted by Venezuelan of Television.

The Chief of State explained that she chose to Jaua because is because “it has demonstrated transparency, vocation of work, humility, honesty, in all the positions that have faced”.

Jaua also will continue to the front of the Ministry of Agriculture and Earth.

Also, Chávez announced other designations: General Carlos Figueroa Bush will assume the Ministry of the Defense, and Alexander Hitcher, the Ministry of the Atmosphere, along with the presidency of Hidroven.

In another order of ideas, the President lamented the death of two students in the Merida state during the last manifestations realised against the exit of the air, for the second time, of RCTV the International.

The agent chief executive assured that there is a plan from the USA and that he involves the situation of RCTV and the disturbances. It indicated that if the opposition radicalizes its actions, the answer of the Government will be forceful. In such sense, it made a call to the students to that they leave the protests and they are dedicated to make policy. It insisted on which they try to do referendo revocatory of his mandate.

It criticized the actions of protests in the sport stages, while it congratulated to Venezuelan Liga of Baseball by his answer to this situation.

On the other hand, it described like “terrorism” to the messages that are sent by Twitter and which they speak of irregular situations in the country.
