If I was Fung....and Hugo was refusing to negotiate....before I filed for bankruptcy I would put Hugo on notice (thru one of my high level contacts in the Canadian government)....that the Canadian government was going to get medievil on his ass in the form of unrelenting public disclosures of how Hugo stopped mining, eliminated jobs, crapped on international law, alienated a decades old ally and trading partner and opened the Venezuelan government up to billions of dollars of damages via ISCID (in spite of all of the social work KRY completed under the terms of the MOC). I would make it clear to Hugo that these disclosures would continue and be stepped up just prior to the September elections. Hey mang...no mining job? Talk to Chavez.

If that didn't work....I would employ the nuclear (Whispering Smith) option.
