Venezuela extended credit to Bolivia

Venezuela granted a credit close to 150 million dollars for the design, construction and asphalting of the Santa Barbara-Caranavi-Quiquibey in Bolivia, 184 kilometers, according to the Bolivian Minister of Public Works, Walter Delgadillo. He explained that funding from Venezuela will reach 67 per cent of the $ 257 million of the work to be built by the company Accidental Argentina-Bolivia in a period of four years. The new road will form part of the export corridor linking Brazil, Bolivia, Chile and will pass through the region producing the Bolivian departments of Pando, Beni and La Paz. Bolivian President Evo Morales has asked the construction company executives Argentina to finish the job in less than four years. AFP
