The unions that make life in the miner, the communities and until the mayorships of the South support the manifestation awaiting which the panorama of the zone calms and the activities return to normality.

This Wednesday the mayors of the Pebble, Roscio and Sifontes, were present in an open town hall that threw like result the support of the exigencies of the strikers.

To investigate and to punish
Elby Grove, Secretary General of the Union of Workers of the Mining Industry and Gold (Sinmioro), explained that “we requested a town hall abierto like workers, because this began thanks to the community and we like representatives of the workers, we had to add us to this cause in view of all the irregularities that are being committed in this company, and beyond our benefits it is the social welfare and the survival of Minerven that is being dismantled by people which we do not know what does in the administration of the resources”.

The leader adds that “we do not understand how a company that was given in blue numbers now is falling in red numbers without we see the improvements nor the investments… this is falling and we must do something, for that reason we asked that they make an audit and they corroborate the denunciations that we are doing”.

The 2009, according to the consideration of the union, were a bad year that did not get to fulfill the production expectations and while that happens the directive is excused in the supposed disdain of the workers. “They say that the contracts render more and I give the reason them, because the contracts have equipment, and one is damaged to them and take hold another one, we we cannot do that because those that we have do not work and were not able nor the spare parts sometimes to repair them”.

Nevertheless, the 2010 are a year of challenges and Grove affirms that to confront them with all the of the law they must begin with good foot, and that beginning happens through the exit of which is related to the present management of the state miner.

Administrative change

A group of workers who acts like labor contralores, headed by the labor directors Jesus War, Jose Caraballo and Julio Salazar, affirms that the present management cannot be moderate only by the nonfulfillment of the goals of production in the 2009, since the past year were the recovery of several mines and plants that are of great importance for the mining development of the South.

“We must analyze in cold which is happening in Minerven, and not to let itself take reason why is listened to or it is seen at first. It is possible that the apparent truths are not so truths, nor the supposed lies are it. In Minerven comes giving process that is worth the pain to study and before leaving with hurried conclusions the millers and the small miners, who more of a soul have left in the precipices, must debate on the paper that each plays and of whom in fact they are the beneficiaries of the sweat”.

Company of all

The demonstrators who demand the destitution of the president of CVG Minerven indicate that she is the one who is the one that is in that position the important thing is that the company walks towards the collective well-being, of the workers and the adjacent communities that during years have been marginalized in spite of being upon important gold mines.

Antonio Belisario, worker of Minerven. “There are machines stopped by seals, by trivialities and it is not possible that a company as this is thus in these conditions of scrap iron and inoperancia. We cannot follow thus, the resources are due to be in the company and to give benefit to the town”.
