In addition to being a Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of the People's Republic of China, Dr. Choi also holds a number of public positions, which include the Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, an Economic Advisor to the President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, PRC, a Member of the Commission on Strategic Development of Hong Kong SAR and a Member of The Greater Pearl River Delta Business Council, Hong Kong SAR, the Chairman of the China Trade Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Chairman of the China-India Software Association, and an Hounorary Citizen of Guangzhou City and Shenyang City, PRC. Dr. Choi is a Court / Council Member of a number of universities including United College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Fudan University and the Nanjing University. Dr. Choi has over 30 years of experience in the food industry, real estate development and international trade, and over 10 years of experience in the technology and finance related business.

Michael Choi, Managing Director
Mr. Michael Koon Ming Choi is an Executive Director of Kingsway International and SW Kingsway Capital. He joined the Group in 1995. Mr. Choi has extensive experience in the financing activities of corporate and property mortgage, real estate development and property investment. He is also a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of the Hubei Province, PRC. Mr. Michael Choi holds a Bachelor Degree from the University of British Columbia.

Douglas Betts, President and Chief Executive Officer
In addition to his role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Kingsway International, Mr. Betts holds a seat on the company’s Board of Directors. He has been associated with the Kingsway Group for over 18 years and has been a director of Kingsway International since August 1995. Mr. Betts co-founded Borealis Funds Management Ltd. where he served from October 1997 to March 2001 as Managing Director responsible for sourcing and structuring investment transactions. Before joining Borealis, Mr. Betts was a partner with Torys LLP, a Canadian law firm where he practiced business law with an emphasis on securities and real estate. Mr. Betts has an LLB from the University of Toronto and has been involved in business transactions in Asia for over 20 years.

Vincent Lai, Company Secretary and Legal Counsel
Mr. Vincent Lai is the Company Secretary and Legal Counsel of Kingsway International. Contributing 18 years of legal expertise, he is well practiced in U.S. and Hong Kong commercial law with an emphasis on securities, merger and acquisition, litigation and international lending as well as listing of companies on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and joint venture formation in Mainland China. Before joining the Kingsway Group, Mr. Lai practiced with the Hong Kong office of a U.S. headquartered international law firm that specializes in corporate finance, where he focused on listing and compliance matters involving various securities exchanges and regulators. In advance of this, Mr. Lai worked with a Hong Kong solicitors firm also focused on corporate finance. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. Mr. Lai qualified as an Attorney at Law in the State of New York in 1987 and as a Solicitor in Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region (SAR) in 1997.

Eric Chan, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Eric Kwok Keung Chan oversees the Kingsway Group’s financial operations in his role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He joins the Group from his responsibilities as CFO and Company Secretary of a reputable Hong Kong listed company with operations in nine countries. Mr. Chan also offers significant assurance and business advisory expertise gained of 14 years with the Hong Kong and Boston offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers. A fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mr. Chan is also a member of the Hong Kong Securities Institute and a Certified International Investment Analyst.

David Charnock, Chief Executive Officer, Kingsway Canada
Mr. Charnock joined Kingsway Canada in April 2001 as Executive Vice President and is currently the company’s Chief Executive Officer. From August 2006 to April 2007, Mr. Charnock acted as the Chief Financial Officer of Golden China Resources Corporation (GCRC), a TSX listed company engaged in the precious metals mining industry in China. GCRC’s predecessor corporation, Golden China Inc., was formed by Kingsway Canada to take advantage of investment opportunities in China. From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Charnock provided consulting and advisory services to clients within the financial services industry. Before 1997, Mr. Charnock was Vice President of Special Lending with Mortgage Insurance Company of Canada, reporting to the President and Board of Directors. Mr. Charnock’s professional experience also includes positions with Lloyds Bank of Canada/Continental Bank of Canada and Coopers & Lybrand.
