CARACAS, Venezuela -- Former Venezuelan President Rafael Caldera's son says the two-time leader has died. He was 93.

Andres Caldera told Globovision news channel the ex-president passed away at 2 a.m. Thursday in Caracas.

He did not give a cause of death.

Caldera had suffered from Parkinson's disease for several years.
