I realize this wasn't meant to open this can of worms CJR but this article annoys me. It talks about a California population that practically depends on the work of these immigrants to survive. Only problem is California isnt "survivng" its dying. Of the 50 states California has the biggest gap between budget and actual funds. California is also projected to have the largest illegal immigrant population in the United States. I find it interesting how the director refers to Mexicans and immigrants but leaves out the subject that has many in this country annoyed -Illegals. Not Mexicans and legal immigrants. Ill add if you take away heroin from a user and film it for a day you may make a case that the person is better off on heroin.My apologies for the off topic rant.
