Ciudad Bolivar .- The call for a crusade in defense of the cultural, historical and social state of Bolivar, was conducted yesterday morning by the party's regional coordinator Viva Guiana, in order to cope with the presidential claim to follow renaming of Guyanese heritage, in his opinion for reasons related to their whims and their marked xenophobia.
Inés León, said that with this call is getting out of the passage to the constant activities promoted from the national executive, as referred to the replacement of names of some towns and other places of importance, for the simple fact that it represents a bound democratic leader the opposition of past and present or just for being a foreigner, still generate discomfort in addition to citizenship, a loss of regional roots and an obvious confusion in the younger generation to grow through a series of contradictions and controversies that ultimately does not leave a real legacy.
Capricious action
These signs point as indicated by the female, would be attached to orders on Sunday by President Hugo Chávez, on his radio program on the change of name to Angel Falls, the view that Indians were not the American pemones Jimmy Angel in the 30's, who found the highest waterfall in the world.
"We've always known of the existence of indigenous pemones in that jump, from before the American aviator seeing him for the first time," said the female, while that meant it was thanks to the sighting of Jimmy Angel, that this beautiful paradise was released to the world and even named a world heritage site in 1994.
Hence spokeswoman disputed the claim made by the Venezuelan dignitary, as contrary to the views expressed by Chavez as the renaming of one of the main tourist attractions with its Indian name Kerepakupai Meru, such actions seek only to satisfy some whim of the President, as evidenced in other opportunities in this same institution, having been renamed the Guri dam, and even to Raúl Leoni township now known as Angostura, which has done so without consultation and their views before the startled gaze of Guiana.
Cross-cultural rescue
Thus said the witness from Guyana live, plus tell frontally "No" to presidential claims, will be called a crusade for the rescue and protection of regional identity, for it will appeal to the conscience of the Guyanese, about the importance of preserving the bitter historical, cultural and social development of the region, while proposing the implementation of a national consultation in order to feel the public will and the sentimental attachment that Venezuelans have not only the Angel Falls, but also with its discoverer and chief propagandist of the beauty of paradise.
Important Case
Another point highlighted by the regional coordinator of Viva Guiana, was the lack of official information about the case of the death of three soldiers from the Army in a town in Gran Sabana, specifically Luepa, where another 60 troops had allegedly contaminated by disease organisms unspecified, although initially spoke of cases of meningitis.
