Delivered seven years in prison for mayor of BolĂvar that accompanied a protest
by miners
11:55 Caracas .- A seven years in prison was sentenced Sifontes mayor of the
municipality of Bolivar State, Chancellor Carlos Ferrer, who was being held for
2 years and 9 months in the municipal police of Caroni.
A Chancellor Ferrer is accused of accompanying the demonstration that in 2005
undertook a group of miners blocked the road between Brazil and Venezuela, for
alleged breach of contract of the company Crystallex in the area of Las
Claritas.
After more than 12 hours of trial at 5:00 am, the Court ruled the conviction
against the president of Patria Para Todos on charges of illegal assembly,
incitement to crime and obstruction of public roads.
