maybe companies with a problem in venezuela should assist individual investors in filing thier arbitration...
i find it curious that canada is one of the few countries listed that has'nt deposited thier instruments of ratification (whatever that means)..for some reason the bold did'nt show up when i copy/pasted....but canada, the russian federation and ethiopia were among the few that did'nt have a bold listing....
all nationals and contracting states (list provided) have the right to submit to icsid for registration of a dispute....while kry might not have the funds to help all interested investors file and proceed with an international arbitration, conoco/mobil and others might be interested in this approach.
it may sound rediculous but what would 1000's of registrations from dozens of different member states do to the world banks legal system, venezuela's finances, and the global investment community as a whole?
