EZ - I think Doug Ballanger mentioned this in one of his recent PR's. He said he had asked for VZ support in stopping it but got no response. I believe this was the same PR where he mentioned that some illegal minors had died on the LC property.

I can't say for sure but I remember something in KRY's reposrts that addressed the co-op/illegal miners and I believe part of KRY's MOC not only accounted for this but offered assistance to them as a supplement to regular mining in order to keep them safe and prevent accidents.

I appologize for so many "I believe"'s but I'm going off of memory alone, which at my age is often flawed.

In short I think KRY took the approach of working with the co-ops to help them be safe rather than fight them.
