Following the press conference of ministers of economic area on Thursday, on Friday the ministers of Technology and Industries Sox, Jesse Chacon, Public Works, Diosdado Cabello, and Basic Industry and Mining, Rodolfo Sanz, held a meeting with the release from Miraflores to announce new government measures in the economic sphere.
Chacon began the presentation by recalling that the Government has as main objectives for the country economic growth, reduce inflation and maintain employment levels. "Next week we will provide details," he said, as he said Thursday the Planning Minister Jorge Giordani.
In that regard, Chacon said he expects the unemployment close to 7% in December due to investments made, and the occupation will be distributed as follows: construction 57.4%, 27.4% in energy, 4.3% in tourism, 6.7% in industry and 4.2% in "other".
For now, Chacón explained that the measures include revision in agricultural contracts, renewal of exemptions from import taxes, increased lending, subsidy strategic items such as energy, tourism strategy, technologies used for agriculture and livestock, besides maintaining investments in health, social security and housing, and incentives to domestic production.
Chacon reiterated that there will be more foreign exchange for companies "that can add value." In that regard, said the auto sector had already been stabilized. "Everybody said that General Motors was doing suitcase," he said. "Conversely, the ceiling will be producing next year. (...) It also said that Mitsubishi was going, but they just do not leave, but they, they were producing 60 cars per day, are now gaining 72 cars a day. "
He added that between 10 and 15% of what comes from Colombia and Ecuador to cars will not be considered as added value and that it will be replaced by domestic production.
Chacon also denied that Venezuela is enriching uranium with the help of Iran, and what they have been doing is soil studies to determine the country's natural products. "However, we have every right to locate uranium on our soil, if the benefit of our people," he said. "However, more important than the uranium is called blue gold, coltan. The discovery of large deposits near the Orinoco. That is a mineral called blue gold is a great conductor material that is used in all chips in the cell that you are using. This discovery changes our expectations of adding value in the technology chain.
"Only seven countries in the world are exploiting coltan reserves," said Sanz.
Meanwhile, Hair said they expected the National Assembly to present the new Tenancy Act, which sought to "do justice to those who have been trampled in one way or another."
