Question regarding share price action

It seems like our share price is continually under pressure, but then buying comes in to support it. I know there are a zillion possible reasons for this including just normal market buying\selling. I was wondering if there might be a large "in the know" buyer out there discreetly picking up shares that are dumped by the weary and fearful (lord knows there are plenty of them around).
