Local and regional authorities maintained an encounter with the representatives of Honduras, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Panama and of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In order “to promote the integration of America through mining DAWN, to fortify the economy of the towns and to guarantee the defense of the natural resources”, a group of Latin American ambassadors realised a tour by the municipalities of the south of the state Bolivar, who culminated with an institutional visit to the Socialist Mayorship Bolivariana of the Caroní municipality (Alsobocaroní).

After a considerable delay, the ambassador of Honduras, Spinal Germa'n Zuniga; the ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua, Ramon Enrique Leets Castle; the ex- ambassador of the Republic of Panama, Elixander Crossbowmen; the director of the Agency of Cooperation of the Republic of Tatarstan, Pilipo Calix Sololiov; the aggregate of Culture of the Embassy of Honduras; Gunther Schuler and Minister Consejero of the Republic of Bolivia; Jorge Alvarado Rivas, in company of the mayor Jose Ramon Lopez, representatives of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and delegated of the Legislative Council of the state Bolívar (CLEB), offered a press conference to present the balance on the route.

The proposal for the creation of a mining DAWN was one of the results of the activity. This initiative would be predicted for the first trimester of year 2010, “in order to distribute social justice with the workers of the mining not only of the Pebble but of other cities of Latin America where the mineral resources are extracted”, it explained Luis Gámez, deputy of the Regional Parliament.

“Bolivariana” integration
During the encounter also it proposed the first meeting of the mayors and mayoresses of the DAWN, whose it soothes would be Guayana City, proposal that was accepted by the mayor of Caroní, Jose Ramon Lopez.

In their interventions, the ambassadors explained that the integration of the DAWN looks for “to fortify the resistance before the imperialism that wishes to especially recover the lost spaces in Latin America in the subject of the mineral resources”.

“Before the military bases of the Colombian earth United States, the DAWN will create bases of peace in Latin America and the Caribbean where all the sectors are included”, the Nicaraguan ambassador said, Ramon Leets, who proposed that the Pebble to integrate itself, in the matter of mining, with cities like Siuna and Bonanza, located in the North Atlantic.
