Minister Rodolfo Sanz affirms commitment to CVG workers
(Press MIBAM; 26-08-09) In a further demonstration of the interest of the administration of the Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana (CVG) to honor the work commitments, the chairman of regional development agency Rodolfo Sanz, met with representatives of Single Union of Public Employees (SUNEP CVG) and workers.
During the meeting, the holder of the corporation ratified the disposition to respond to legal and contractual obligations to workers according to economic and financial reality of the institution.

"We've heard the approach of a sector of the union to seek solutions and provide an immediate response to the payment of commitments that have been delayed by the economic situation. On Monday we will meet with cevegistas of Puerto Ordaz and Ciudad Bolivar, where we also discuss the role of the CVG is a concern of workers, "said Sanz who noted that the meeting was positive and shows that this administration listens to the labor.

For SUNEP CVG participated in the meeting Robert Torrealba, Secretary of Culture and Sports, and Juan Pinero, Minister of Tourism and Recreation, as well as workers Ernesto Rivero, Roduans Lopez, Jose Francisco Natera and Zapata.

Torrealba said that the president of CVG gave immediate response to the request of the workers, once called the open letter that caused him to arrive. "The minister called us immediately Sanz and although we were not given payment date, stated that we will respond on Monday in the auditorium to workers, where you know the dates of the payments due as a trust, additional days and assessments.

It was agreed also include representatives of the union leadership and workers, in the table on the role of the Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana. "The CVG needs redefinition and we want to participate to make our contribution," Torrealba said.

The cevegista Ernesto Rivera gave a vote of confidence in the president of CVG. "This meeting was very fruitful, the minister agreed to provide solutions to our demands."

For its part, the worker Roduans Lopez stressed that "the encounter is undoubtedly a new show that through dialogue and consultation between workers and the Minister Sanz, can sustain a respectful, unaltered and without violence .

The meeting served to establish grievance mechanisms that reach out to the final settlement of labor approaches, strengthening dialogue and ensuring labor peace in the Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana.
