I guess I could add to that, at least reach Yubiri Ortega at the Minamb.....they don't seem to get it. Good post Repair!

As much as we hear about transnationals blah blah blah at least we all (KRY, GRZ) have an environmental plan AND remediation plan for the whole area in which they both are located. What does it take to hit some of these people upside the head to let them know that these gold mines will actually help the environment in the long run and actually restore these areas to a more pristine environment than they have today.

One would think that the Chavez politics are stepping over themselves in this scenario and actually creating a worse environment in their focus of getting their favored partner to the scene (if that is what is happening). Think of the mercury poisoning that has been going on in LC since the EIS was actually approved (2 years of poisoning). For those environmentalist that has been fighting against KRY and GRZ (which there have been many) For their effort they have spent 2 years of mercury poisoning they let go unaccounted for...shame on them. The environmentist mission should be to save the environment and not pollute it even more. That is what has happened since the EIS has been approved. Do the environmentalist really know what they are doing in all of this? Is their fight really been productive?
