Sunday, 09 August 2009
In the steel "socialist" conflicts are the order of the day. A group of gandoleros on Saturday challenged the protected security feature visits by President Chavez to Guyana, to demand greater transparency.
Indicated that carriers have been "abused" by the steel to make them wait weeks to get a load. While the picture Tomás González minister and president of the Siderúrgica del Orinoco (Sidor), Rodolfo Sanz, opened the second game of the steel contract, drivers over 60 gandolas that daily load into the gate IV protested in Ciudad Guayana by influence peddling they say is happening in the business.
Wheel-professionals from all parts of Venezuela, sat in front of their units and they toured the entity to pass morrocoy "escorted by National Guards, who was making sure that workers do not decide to step on the brake and tranca the city.
At about 11 o'clock in the morning and half transporters IV arrived back gate where they were able to provide statements of reasons for this action.
Although these reporteril the team that wanted access to the courtyard where they were, as evidenced by the hundreds of waiting gandolas without charge for more than a week, was not allowed access to the press facilities Sidor.
A group of them moved to the outskirts of this gate which had a number of irregularities that have made them not only lose money and time, but must extend to other companies, as hearsay, are the property of a general and senior officials Government.
Alexander Garcia, one of the gandoleros, reported that a waffle of transport companies, had gone over the list with which they are naturally handled in the gate for loading.
Reported that the influence peddling that has made them stay up longer than a week without making a trip, if normally make up to two trips per week. Those affected, many of whom wanted to preserve his name for fear of reprisal, complained that they have to pay from 100 to 200 bolivars per gandola loading.
Faced with this claim for workers on the load that made waffle, a direct employee of Sidor, which refused to reveal his name because they were not authorized explained that these four gandolas and charged that the owners are saying that senior government officials, was done by an "emergency and we must remember that the loads are made with the company that give us greater security. We need to carry bars, "he said.
Indicated that the Sidor steel plant has complied with the plan to 100% and that regardless of what may affect the production, he always gives priority to domestic rather than international.
"It obviously satisfies the domestic market carryings gandolas always be sacrificed to the foreign market for this sort of thing does not happen. However, we have rented over 800 gandolas the fleet and there are 120 monthly additional income gandolas as planned. "
Traffic of influence
The official explanation was refuted by the workers. Sigfredo Alfonso carrier said: "We all come from Venezuela here to search our burden to carry it back to the site, we work, then it happens that we have three days waiting to load and transport ghosts come and go and preferences, load and go and we stay here. "
"We say there is no material released, but how we say no if there is a queue for upload. Hit enter any empty Sidor if it will not upload, there is no grocery store or down the casino, but burden.
"Before we protest said they had not released a ton in a half hour why release 2 tons. Why? Because they do not want the press learned that the yard is so much less that the President is aware that Sidor is well. "
Also Cesar Suarez, who works at the gate IV, reported the existence of trafficking in bars.
Other employees reported being fired on Friday by claiming the situation. In the afternoon Alban Rojas, carrier, reported on the agreements reached with management traffic ground steel.
Sidor's representation to the carriers promised a reunion for August 28 where he will reply: the presidential bonus, the company's presence waffle, "vaccines" that should pay for access to cargo. Similarly, on Friday authorized the release of two thousand tons to the load. (CARJ)
