Foreign investment must be productive and with technological transference
05:55 p.m. Caracas. - Not only the reform of the Law of Industrial Property is matter of interest for the Executive. The application of new mechanisms that regulate the foreign investment is under the magnifying glass of the Ministry of Commerce, in the construction of the socialist production system.
The holder of that office, Eduardo Samán, advanced today that its office anticipates to reform some legal instruments that regulate the investments, among them, the Common Regulation of Treatment to the Foreign capitals and on Marks, Patents, Licenses and Exemptions.
He emphasized the necessity to determine what type of investment must be accepted in the country, because in their opinion, all does not bring development or advances to the society.
It advanced that it enters requirements that they will have to fulfill all those industralists foreign, who wish to bet by the local market, will be to invest in production areas and to guarantee the technology transference.
According to Samán, the new investments must be oriented to the productive activity, because other types of activities, like the one of commercialization or distribution, can be developed by the national capital. “The unique foreign investment must be productive with technology transference, otherwise, it is not necessary in the country”, emphasized.
It criticized the presence of transnational companies that operate in the country, use the natural resources, “they operate” the work force, and soon when the conditions are not favorable they go, leaving an indirect labor cost.
