GN rescues in town harpy eagle Sifontes

In a tour of the facilities of the Canadian transnational Crystallex, located
south of Bolivar state, municipality Sifontes, troops of the National Guard
announced the existence in the camp of a harpy eagle, which is the second
largest poultry the world and was decreed by the International Union for
Conservation of Nature as endangered species.

In this situation, military officials concluded the rescue of the animal, a
procedure which was overtaken by Lieutenant José Beltrán González, commander of Detachment 5, located in the town of Las Claritas.

According to the press part, officials from that point of control that
performed routine patrol, aimed at environmental preservation and wildlife,
retrieved the bird, until then owned by a citizen of Asian origin named Ling
Soyou.

The call is for the environmental authorities of the country, with
responsibility for maintaining this species and constant patrols in areas where
man is killing the fauna and flora.
