Táchira governor: Chávez is leading the country to dictatorship
Politics
César Pérez Vivas, governor of western state of Táchira, stated that Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez wants to drive the country to "the path of dictatorship."
"There are Venezuelans willing to give their lives if necessary to prevent you from subjecting Venezuela to this situation," said Pérez Vivas.
Fascism is being increasingly implemented in the country, and the government is replicating situations experienced in Hitler's Germany and Mussolini's Italy, "where the people who are voicing dissident opinions today are branded as traitors to the fatherland," added the Táchira Governor.
Pérez Vivas also termed Interior and Justice Minister Tareck El Aissami deceiver and manipulator, for his recent statements in Táchira state, where he said that the governor had links with Colombian paramilitaries.
