Well....if arbitration takes an average of three years during which time GG has negligable expenses related to the investment...and gold increases to $2,000\ounce (let's be conservative here) during this time....then the payoff would be in the multiple billions. That is a lot of Citgo stations. Alternatively....Hugo gets capped during the course of the three year arbitration wait and we negotiate a workable deal with his replacement.
Of course there is risk...but the majors have to replenish reserves if they are to grow. How many reserves the size of Las Cristinas are left out there?
On the other hand...although we would win the arbitration...who knows if\when\how the award would be paid.
