Of Venezuela's international reserves dropped to 29.152 million dollars on Thursday, representing a decrease of $ 187 million compared to the previous week, reported Friday that Central Bank (BCV).
Of that total, 28,323 million U.S. dollars are deposited in the BCV and 829 million in the Macroeconomic Stabilization Fund (FEM), a mechanism created to counter risks to the economy.
The international reserves of Venezuela closed at 42.054 million dollars in 2008, according to Central Bank figures.
On January 21 the BCV transferred about 12,000 million dollars to a special fund administered by the Executive for "excess reserves," the Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez.
