The illegal mining in the River basins of the Rivers Caroní and Caura was the main subject in the meeting.

The governor of Bolivar, Francisco Rangel Go'mez, met with minister Popular Poder of the Atmosphere, Yubirí Grouse, to analyze the environmental reality of the state and to present/display the advance of the works carried out by the Interior in this matter. In this sense, they studied the case of illegal mining in the River basins of the Rivers Caura and Caroní. On this, Arming to Jhon Log, president of the Independent Institute of Mines Bolivar he expressed that the subject was approached “completely” and that was the priority in the meeting, by the great negative consequences that he has on the environment.

Another subject in the agenda was the investment of the Ministry the Popular Power of the Atmosphere in the projects that the Hydrologic one of the Bolivars has (Hidrobolívar), who will allow to the development of the service of potable water in the state Bolivar, indicated to Ricardo Aquino, secretary of Tourism and Atmosphere of the Interior.

“Hidrobolívar must follow with an amount of projects that it has within the structure of this year 2009”, and with the support of the Ministry and the President of the Republic sequence will be able to be given the same, Aquino added.

Necessary intervention

The Secretary of Atmosphere and Tourism indicated that the situation with the garbage dump of solid remainders located between the municipalities Callao and Roscio, in the cities of Callao and Guasipati, respectively, also was analysis subject. “After severe an inspection that we have realised with the people of the mayorship it concluded that its intervention is necessary, as well as took control of the Sanitary filling of Upata”, explained.
