"Something we don't know" ....... is the HOW Ven. will get out of it.
Playing the devil's advocate...let's assume that Hugo's plan was to bankrupt KRY (the most probable apparent possible strategy) and replace us with someone more aligned with Hugo ideologically. Fine. Given that scenario and their stated goal to start the mine in 2009, they would have to bring in another miner shortly after KRY filed for arbitration. Assuming, for the moment, that our replacement was given wide latitute with respect to regulation\permitting and assuming liberal behind the scenes plagiarizing of KRY's engineering\environmental work, even the Venezuelans must realize the folly in that approach. I simply can't believe anyone is either:
a) that stupid
or
2) that ideological to the point of destroying their own plan
I keep coming up with the same answer. Don't sell. Hold on. We get either the permit or a deal. Even with a permit under bad terms...we have 40 years to get rid of this creep. Personally...I'd take the deal and not look back. Too many good opportunities out there.
