Today, Thursday May 21 the president, Hugo Chávez Frías, is visiting Ciudad Guayana to participate in the workshop entitled "Toward the Social Transformation of Business Basics," which will run from 8:00 in the morning in the Club of CVG Ferrominera Caronoco.

Along with the president at that event will be the president of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Rafael Ramirez, Minister of Planning and Development, Jorge Giordani, Minister of Labor, Maria Cristina Iglesias, Jose Khan, Minister of Basic Industries and Mining, Rodolfo Sanz, the governor of Bolivar state, Francisco Rangel Gomez.

Furthermore, unofficially became known after the event that the agreement will be signed by the company CVG Ferrominera 0rinoco, where will be the chairman, directors of iron and coalmining unions. It also hopes that President Hugo Chávez, made some important announcements about the management of core businesses, particularly the aluminum industry in the area.

This event occurs in the region after the incessant calls made by employees of the basic industries of the Guyana Government to ensure a debate with the participation of unions and the labor force to find solutions to their many and various problems.
