lets not forget

Crystallex International Corporation is a Canadian-based gold company with a successful record of developing and operating gold mines in Venezuela and elsewhere in South America
We follow this so closely, that I think we sometimes forget that permits to actually start mining can take about 10 years....And that is in the west. Remember, we are dealing with South America, ....oh right....we are also dealing with Chavez....Put all those points together, and I don't think we are really that far off, time wise. We have just had many false hopes on rumours., in the past.
Why would Chavez think India is the place to get what he wants? They are asking other foriegn companies to help THEM. It doesn't seem to me that they are overflowing with expertise in gold mining, although they do have quite a bit of cheap labour. India isn't even Socialist. Only thing I can see is that India wants gold, and they use a huge amount. So maybe he's hoping they will come up with the $$$ to either buy KRY or partner with them. But remember, this is just another of a line of countries that Chavez has been courting in what, the last year? None will trust him. He's too unstable.
And concerning the 'international companies with cash', well that's fine for new ventures ( Except who the h#*l would be dumb enough to put a pile of cash on the line when dealing with Chavez). However KRY has their contract, and if cash was a problem, that would be Chavez's fault for putting them off for years. He doesn't know who might be on the sidelines just waiting to get involved once a permit is issued, and further progress is guarenteed.
I think that the fact that VZ has officially announced that they are open to 'foriegn international companies' partnering with VZ in minig gold, that they have taken away any excuse for not sticking with KRY They have been the model of 'doing it right' in every way. The only thing I can think of is that there was the former Ambassador that quit his governnment job, and hired on with KRY. That apparently is a big thorn in Chavez's butt, and it has been said that he has not forgiven him, or KRY for bringing him in. Who knows.
Except for the fact that VZ officials never mention that KRY is going to still be the contractor to mine Las Christinas ( although there has been a letter stating that they are in good standing), there has not been one official statement that KRY won't. Any talk of 'Las Christinas' being mined by any other entity could very well be relating to everything KRY is NOT contracted to mine in the overall 'Las Christinas' area.
That would start with the small miners that have now been given there small concessions. I don't think the board has considered the importance of having those miners getting their permits before the 'foriegn internationals' get theirs.
So all in all, if Chavez is now trying to get foreign companies to come on board with their cash, and he hasn't been able to get China or Russia to do so, and he's now down to asking India, where would he ever get the billions to buy out KRY, and GRZ? He's just grasping at straws till the last minute.
