They enable to GN in combat to the illegal mining

With the attendance of 25 cash of the national Guard the third factory of training in the combat against the illegal mining took place, appointed the personnel of the Mining direction of Defense National that works like auxiliary organ of the Ministry of the Popular Power for the Basic Industries and Mining (Mibam).

The head of operations of the Mining direction of Defense National of the national Guard, Lieutenant Colonel (GN), Ramon Jose Rondón Mata informed that the main target of the factory is the qualification - of the military personnel that comprises of the direction in the matter of monitoring and control of the mining activity that is realised in the country.

In that sense, he explained that article 89 of the Law of Mines, grants - to the Mining direction of Defense National - the faculty to exert the inspection, monitoring and control of the mining activities in all the national territory. By such reason, he explained that the constant qualification of the personnel in the matter is from fundamental importance.

“We like arm armed of the Mibam, want to prepare our personnel in order that they, in their daily task, can exert the function to cabalidad”, she indicated the high official.

The Mining direction of Defense National, must like main function plan, program, direct, evaluate and control all the activities that directly or indirectly affect the development of the mining activities, as well as to guard by the strict fulfillment of all the attributed existing legal dispositions to the institution, cooperating with the organisms of the public Administration within the national, regional and local scope, in coordination with the governing organ.

In this third factory they were participating personal in troops of the regional Commando Nº 1 with soothes in San Cristóbal, until the regional Commando Nº 9, with soothes in the Amazon state.

The event counted on the presence of engineer Manuel Méndez, civil servant of the direction of Control and Mining Control of the Mibam, that gave an explanation on the mining in Venezuela.

Méndez based its exhibition on the types of minerals that exist in the country, and its distribution, as well as, the methods which the operation and extraction are applied for, this with the purpose of to inform to the component of the national Guard who works in this matter.

Meanwhile, the specialist Julia Contreras, civil servant of the Mibam gave an explanation on the legal plinth that protects the applied procedures to prevent the illicit ones that comment in the mining activity in Venezuela, as well as, the competitions of the viceministry of Mines.
