Where is the mass support for Rosales, If I were a Vennie I would be doing something drastic like writing a letter upon reading this nonsense
CARACAS, Venezuela, March 24 (UPI) -- A leading Venezuelan opposition leader will be tried in the capital, Caracas, and not his hometown, Venezuela's Supreme Court has ruled.
The opposition leader, Manuel Rosales, currently the mayor of Venezuela's second-largest city, Maracaibo, will face charges of "illegal enrichment," El Universal newspaper reported Tuesday.
Rosales has been accused of not reporting $68,000 in income on previous tax returns.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez had previously accused Rosales of trying to undermine his authority.
The Maracaibo mayor lost a presidential bid against the leftist Chavez in 2006.
