This all makes sense to me. Chavez's coop has been cooped. It would be in the US interest to welcome Cuba back into a business and freindship relationship to counter the socialist movement in S.A. There are a lot of Cubans in Florida, a lot more than are in Venezuela. We look at Cuba like they are 3rd world but the Cubans look at Venezuela like they are 3rd world. Chavez is chewing too many coco leaves if he thinks the Cubans will embrace his regieme or his plan.
How does this affect KRY? We have to hope for a permit and then a regieme change in Venezuela. I think his Cuba involvement makes Chavez look bad to everyone in the region and it is much better to have Cubans pointing the finger at Chavez than the Americans. I want Chavez to fail miserably and take Danny Glover with him into oblivion. Chavez could dissapear during the two years it will take to develop the mine, and this would be great news.
Someone was talking about earnings of .55 and a ten or fifteen times valuation to figure the future PPS of this stock. This won't happen very quickly with Chavez at the helm. Chavez is a liar and probably in the top 10 BS artists on the planet today, who would believe him if he changed his position and started making good decisions for his countrymen and economy? He even lies to his freinds (eg. Raul Castro). I'm still "cautiously optimistic" that we will still see a permit- But then what?
I would like to explore BULLFROGGIES idea about how this stock will be played and how it's going to happen before the six month expiration for an explanation. How high it will go, on a manufactured news release or what, just market manipulation? Both?
Voices of dissent are being heard from inside Venezuela this was not happening until recently and this is encouraging. His socialist neighbors are relenting to the economic pressures and letting foregin national companies mine their resources. The Cubans are calling Hugo a plotter in an attempt to overthrow their leader. I hope he gets the boot soon (but only after he announces our permit).
