Urged the NA to discuss crisis in core businesses

The coordinator of the National Union of Workers (UNT), Orlando Chirinos,
accompanied by the deputy to the National Assembly, Pastora Medina and several
leaders of the trade union movement in Guyana, urged the Legislature to discuss
the crisis on business basics.
The union representative noted that the National Assembly has the responsibility
to facilitate the discussion, given that the industries of Guyana are the second
source of income that is Venezuela.

For his part, MP Pastora Medina said he has asked the National Assembly to
discuss operational and financial problems of business basics, but ensures that
the parliamentary majority has refused to discuss the issue.

"On several occasions Mibam Minister, Rodolfo Sanz has promised to participate
in the plenary of the National Assembly but has not so far come to call, an
attitude that leads us to ask who are the workers who explain the situation of
industries because they know the end is actually better than anyone, "said
Medina.

In this regard, they stressed the need for the crisis of the factories is served
so diligently by the national executive, while Chavez urged the president to
include the labor movement in the design and implementation of the recovery plan
for companies aluminum sector.

Strong association

Beyond the application to the National Assembly, Orlando Chirinos also stressed
that the legitimacy of the union movement in the region. Considered appropriate
that the organizations that make life in Guyana join efforts on the recovery of
the core businesses, as noted that the dispersion of the labor movement is being
used by the national government.

The leader ensures that the work should be claimed fight for what you believe is
appropriate to promote a constituent association. "It is time that unions unite
efforts but so real, they must also define whether or not to defend workers'
rights, then start working to win the battles" he said.

Chirinos reiterated that the workers have always been subject to any process
historical revolutionary premise that leads him to question President Chavez's
speech against the workers' movement in Guyana.

He also said that the item of business can not be polarized with political
trends, as the recovery of the aluminum industry must be a matter of national
interest.

President Chavez gave a listen to the proposal of the workers, who he believed
were the only ones who know the internal reality of the economic and operational
factories.

"It's time to inject resources into the business through investment in
technological adaptation, it is time to look for responsible, but to work
towards recovery in production in basic industries" Chirinos ended.
