Began construction of new National Steel

Caracas, Mar. 06 ABN .- The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Hugo Chávez Frías, attended the ceremony of initiation of movement of land to
large scale, under the first phase of construction of new steel plants.

The act was carried out from the savannas Piar Municipality, Bolívar state,
where the president stressed that the construction project is part of this
industry development plan within the mining industry that promotes the
Venezuelan government.

The Head of State ordered the steel to be formed in an area of 48 hectares,
should be a socialist concept in all areas of production and in particular on
respect for nature.

"Socialism has to differ radically from capitalism. Capitalism destroys while
socialism should rather enhance and preserve everything that represents the
fauna and flora and the environment, so this new industry should become a main
purpose steel socialist, "he said.

To implement this new state mining industry is planned to invest 2 million 100
thousand dollars and will have a decisive impact for the development of the
country by producing 550 million tons of crude steel per year.

"With these plans is to consolidate what they do here is build that Venezuela
will become a small world," he said.

The New National Steel in its first construction phase will generate 120 direct
jobs and it is expected that once it becomes operational staff reach more than
six thousand jobs.
