Government handed over Bs.F 168 million for housing rehabilitation in

Caracas, Feb. 07 ABN .- The president of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela, Hugo Chávez Frías, on Saturday handed over a total of
168.9 million bolivars strong transformation in the housing sector in
La Bombilla Petare, Miranda state.

"With these resources are made 520 thousand substitutions ranches for
decent housing for all the Venezuelan family that resides in this
area and two 963 thousand rehabilitation," the Head of State during
an act of financing for the conversion of habitat in the community
mirandina.

He indicated that this funding will benefit 125 community councils in
the states Capital District, Miranda, Carabobo, Nueva Esparta,
Tachira and Zulia.

The president stressed that the Government's goal for 2009 is to
deliver the councils the amount of 4 million 300 thousand bolivares
strong.

"This means that this Saturday we are delivering about 5% of
everything that is delivered throughout the year. This is the first
act, but other activities where we will provide resources to social
welfare to the people, "he said.

He stressed that this was part of the attention that it is providing
11 thousand to 700 projects that community councils have so far
received.

"This is part of the commitment that the Government has to ensure the
stability of the citizens because it is the people who beat the
backwardness and poverty," concluded the Venezuelan president.

Plan special Father premieres

The Head of State announced the creation of a special fund to promote
the Program of Acceleration of Regional Development (Father) and the
social production projects arising from the commune councils.

He said that it is planned to start with a remnant of one billion
dollars from the surplus in tax revenue.

He also stressed that this community needs to develop the
infrastructure and living standards and create the social production,
its economic activity.

"That way defeat monopolies and create grassroots Bolivarian
socialism, socialist democracy," he said.

Indicated that to achieve this it is necessary to follow a strategy
in the actions of the mission April 13 and the production community,
to ensure that each day the commune councils are strengthened and
their move towards self.

"It is not enough to fix the houses, roads, streets. We must move
forward in the productive economy, the creation of socialist
production units, "said the President.

The Head of State noted that the productive aspect is part of the
Father, he announced months ago and noted that it becomes a living
this year.

He stressed that in this new stage of revolution, the commune
councils across the country must work to transcend the local and said
that this is the challenge this year to such organizations.

"You must not forget that you are a political player and every day
should be (...) more commune councils to be grouped in the
community," said the President.

Mining, Rodolfo Sanz, reported that in six months will be installed
in the area, specifically in Mariches City, a group of plants as an

These include construction of a workshop to elaborate wooden objects

two aluminum factories, a plastic injection and production profiles
for windows, doors, pipes and mesh products from Sidor.

A call for peace

The elder said that the Venezuelan government guarantees of
democracy, freedom and peace for full construction of the new
Venezuela.

"Here we are not to kill us from ourselves, we must have respect for
others. The Venezuelan people want peace and government is the
guarantor of that is true, "he said.

He stressed that self-called revolutionary groups who will benefit
rather than harm the process because they act against it, while
noting that not tolerate the presence of rebel groups.

"The weapons of this revolution are in the barracks, can not be
handled by most anyone, are held by the military command that I know
and commanding in chief in chief because I am a soldier," the
Venezuelan president.

He explained that on Friday left a character named Valentin Santana
representing a group called The Piedritas allegedly affection to the
government, saying they had fired tear gas and are capable of killing
anyone.

peace here," he said.

Irregular groups in the border

Forces, a guerrilla group which claims to be acting on Chavez and the

President Chavez gave a warning to Lina Ron, leader of Unidad Popular
Venezolana (UPV), who he said is a good woman, but that if she
