A Rusoro spokesman at the company’s headquarters in Vancouver, Canada, declined to comment Wednesday on the deal.

The Venrus concession apparently ignores an exclusive contract that Venezuela’s government had granted Toronto-based Crystallex International Corp. in 2002 to develop four sections of Las Cristinas. Crystallex’s request for a final permit to start digging there was denied in May, but the company on Wednesday said it had not been informed of any changes in its deal.

I know this has been brought up before...but let's assume that Hugo and Rusoro are both stupid enough to ignore the contract with Crystallex and jointly mine Las Cristinas. I assume, at that point, that Crystallex will have legal recourse through the Canadian courts against Rusoro (a Canadian Company) for their confirmed part in this unholy, illegal alliance....complete with embellished, shareprice crushing press releases. Rusoro's lack of comment implies that they are aware of the tight rope they are walking in this regard..
