Rundle, I keep coming back to the concept that the permit is approved but not issued yet. We heard the rumours but they came from RC which puts the whole issue in doubt. If this is in fact true then the permit is for the mine plan Kry submitted not Rml or anyone else. We already know that VZ plans to mine LC starting in 2009 (not possible but construction could start if Kry get the go ahead) so the whole idea of the ban on open pit mining is over and somebody will mine it.
Having no clarification from Sanz isn't a bad thing for Kry yet. If the issue was settled and could be released to the public then we would know if we were good to go or not. I believe that Fung knows the answers but has agreed to play along with VZ. They have been told verbally everything is OK but VZ can't make it official until they have accomplished what ever the reason for the delay is.
It could be the new mining law, it could be the Rml/Grz take over fight, it could be a number of things. Fung doesn't even need to know the reasons, he just needs to know that Kry is good to go when the dust settles.
I was at the Vancouver Resource show today. Everyone I listened to said gold would be over $1000 soon and some had multiple figures for it. A lot of the speakers talked about how Gold Ounces need to be replaced and companies are looking at more geo-political risky environments.
I never asked anyone directly about Kry but I talked to a bunch of juniors that all have properties in questionable political areas. They all said the same thing. What you read isn't always what is really happening.
This holds true for Chavez and VZ. Hugo is the master of using the media for his own agenda. I would tend to believe what is being said privately over media blurbs for political purposes.
I'm long and strong in Kry and will be filling both mine and my wifes TFSA with Kry shares.
