Hugo and Sanz and the rest of the marxist clowns don't get the fact that plants don't run themselves, mineral resources don't mine themselves and goods and services don't distribute themselves. Nationalisation can be a good thing but it must be done with proper planning and the nationalized businesses must be run by experienced and competent managers. Compensating the previous owner managers properly is an important part of ensuring a smooth transition and there has to be a plan in place for running things afterwards.
Sanz was supposed to be a hard nosed businessman but he seems more like a hard nosed marxist pushing an economic model that has consistently lead to failure.
Hugo is a beligerent little pr*ck who likes getting in peoples faces and sticking his fingers in their eyes.
There is nothing wrong with a little socialism (or even a lot of it) as long as you don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. There are quite a few countries (Canada and Sweden for example) that have demonstrated how to successfully combine socialism and capitalism.
That's what really stupid about his treatment of KRY and GRZ. Canada is a model for how VZ could grow a modern mixed socialist and capitalist economy based on cooperation with other countries (regardless of their politics) and cooperation with multinationals. He can still get his socialism and help his poverty based constituency while getting the benefits that developed countries and multinationals can bring.
I think he may be just too stuborn and too dumb to understand this.
