....... we can assume with a high degree of confidence that Chavez will be in power for another decade.

the referendum will be another tool to assert his control on the country therefore LC will be mined in order to bring the gold to the state coffers .

I remember well that into an article which i cannot trace now, some government officials and maybe Sanz himself ,were saying that they wanted the gold not to leave Venezuela but go in to the Treasury ; they were willing to pay the part of gold allocated to Crystallex at market price but in local currency .

All this to say ,if we start putting all the dots together and there are plenty of them, that will be mining LC with the blessing of the government and Rusoro will be collecting the crumbs if they can afford them.

The major factors in favor of KRY :

1] the only company ready to go ,maybe GRZ if they change the their concession for a joint venture .

2] Contract in place

3] High qualified knowledge of mining ,well known by locals and already partly trained personal.

4] Conform to requirements environmental and construction plan.

Two bikers hurled a tear gas canister at the news channel offices

The offices of Venezuelan private news television network Globovisión, located in La Florida sector, north Caracas, were hit again by the pro-government group La Piedrita (The Small Stone) in the early hours of January 1.

Two bikers hurled a tear gas canister at the news channel offices. The device fell on the roof of the building and the gas penetrated through the air conditioning duct.

Along with the tear gas, the members of the group threw pamphlets that attributed the attack to La Piedrita, a pro-government group based in the 23 de Enero (January 23) neighborhood. This organization has perpetrated similar acts and the Attorney General Office reportedly has not investigated such actions. According to the pamphlet, La Piedrita reiterates that Globovisión is a military target as well as the newspaper El Nacional.

William Echeverría, the president of the National Journalist Association (CNP) warned that impunity may cause a tragedy in the future. "What has happened to the investigations carried out by the Attorney General on this irregular group?, Echeverría wondered.
