The Canadian firms mentioned have recourse: they can go to the Canadian courts, and demand seizure of a like amount of Venezuelan property in Canada. Gas stations, oil tankers--they should do so immediately. It's called "leveling the playing field", and there's no reason why Venezuela should have a single penny in Canada that isn't up for grabs, right now.
