Tumeremo .- Under a copious rain, a group of the inhabitants ofthis town decided to close the Highway 10 to match the entrance to thecity, demanding the immediate release of the newly elected mayor of themunicipality Sifontes, Carlos Chancellor, who virtually razed in theelections conducted last November 23 where he obtained the highest votethat any candidate has reached the cities and towns in the south.
Protesters lock the track and one voice, said that the place willnot be until the court takes the case of this mayor decided impartiallyand without conditions, freedom of Carlos Chancellor. They said thatthey will not go back on this type of action and on the contrary, themore pronounced each day with more forcefulness, because in the view ofProtestants being committed an act of injustice against the accused,charges that are being told by the governor as Rangel Gomez, MarleneVargas, the trans Cristallex and a senior police officer in the stateof Bolivar.
The closure of Highway 10 began at about 6:00 am and after 2:00 pmaffections to Chancellor, remained at the scene shouting slogans infavor of freedom of the mayor who is still behind bars.

While the miners went to the place called El Choco Four, a groupof supporters of Mayor Carlos Chancellor, starred in the morning onMonday signed off on Highway 10, which are intended to draw theattention of the judge leading the case. The protesters announced thatthe Indians and miners of Las Claritas, Kilometer 88 and otherindigenous communities, prepare forceful actions to seek freedomwithout conditions Chancellor.
