It obviously makes sense to buy the votes of the displaced miners by giving them the toasted cheese right before the election. That seems to be job #1 and will garner needed support for Sunday's vote. On the "special day"....(hopefully Tuesday the 25th)...the KRY permit\construction approval could be announced with the associated good jobs news going forward. "Put your name on the job application list for Las Cristinas at the Mayor's Office". This would appease the miners that didn't get any toasted cheese. Granting the permit before the election could result in a backlash from miners chewing on their freshly toasted cheese who felt that they were given a piece of stale Velveeta and told to pick up a plow while the International Mining Company got the Fillet Mignon.
