Message: from Carson/Perez interview

I think the conflicts of legality, ego, caution, local politics, etc. all contributed to Sanz's statements during that interview. I think he was trying to be careful - legally, and supportive of his boss - politically, and it was all too much for him to keep track of while on the spot during a live interview. That happens to the best of them (i.e. politicians). To me, it makes sense to give his boss, Chavez, at least a short time after his inevitable, i.e. illegal and corrupt, victory in the elections to get a regional, though large, project like this moving forward. I don't know Canadian politics well, but this same thing would certainly happen in the U.S. I think we should give them a little space - if you push too hard your efforts will certainly backfire. So, give them a month or two after the elections and it will all work out – that means we get the OK in early 2009.
